Impact<\/strong><\/h1><\/div>

A disastrous combination of natural disasters, endemic poverty and economic collapse have left over half of the Afghan population in need of humanitarian aid \u2013 and children are particularly vulnerable. Most households are unable to afford food, so children often go days without eating. Malnutrition is soaring, and around 4 million children in Afghanistan are thought to be severely malnourished.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Response<\/strong><\/h1><\/div>

Islamic Relief provides a lifeline in the form of the Orphan Sponsorship Programme, giving families a regular stipend to help pay for essentials such as food, while also ensuring children receive an education.
